As I am coming close to buying my next mod, I was thinking.
I really only want/need my boost in performance when Im going to be punching it.
Therefor, Im thinking the HV3 insert.
I figure this, if Im going to USE my added horsepower, Im 99/100 times going to be giving the car all shes got.
I don't really need more horsepower at low rpm's because at low rpm's Im not trying to go fast, Im just cruising.
Therefor, with some kind of confirmation by a few or more of you guys, Im thinking rather then a DP, PLOG, or PCM, i think im going to go with the HV3 insert.
So having said that, this insert will give me quite a noticeable difference when i floor it right? 30 hp at 6000 rpm, not too shabby right?
What's the difference between 9 peak hp, and 30 at 6000 rpm? whp
Also, has anyone here put this thing in their car?
One last question, ZZP says it increased torque but a loss of low end power came about, what's this going to mean...ill be slower off the line then i am now?

To be honest the HV3 should be one of the last mods if your staying N/A on it's own I doubt you'll be impressed,I would go the traditional PCM,HVTB,plog&DP for street results this will imprve your stoplight to stoplight performance.Chico(pops)

Well Chico, ill take your advice.
Now the HVTB and down-pipe are about the same price at about 200 bucks.
Which would you recommend to be put on first?

Since you have already improved your incoming air somewhat with a FWI a DP would be a good start .Chico(pops)

Honestly I've considered buying an HV3 hundreds of times and I've come to this conclusion:
For $200 you getting very negligible gains high in the RPM band when, for about $300 more, you can get pretty good all around gains with a top swap.
That said if you're planning to stay NA and never want to go FI then yes it might be a good investment but I can't see myself spending half the cost of a top swap for those gains.
EDIT: Before all you top swapped guys come in here yelling at me that a top swap is more than $500, I'm talking just parts cost not gaskets and other crap. I have noticed the prices for top swaps going down though.

You really should factor in the cost of gaskets, though. They cost as much as the hard parts.
