Got spoiler painted black. Not nicest paint job but it should hold up for a few months while I wait and get new paint job from a pro. I also added pics of my overlays that I got as well. My car is finally starting to come together visually.

What are those 2 circles?

Sooo many rockchips. Will look into getting those fixed when car is in body shop.

I'm not fealing the black spoiler. Needs to be body colored or two tones or something.

I think black on the bottom with body color on top set off by a red or hot orange pinstripe would be slick. Maybe the same effect on the top of the scoops on the hood.

It does look better than the white for now.

Keep after it man...she's gonna look boss when it rolls out of the body shop.

I like the idea of the pinstripe plus black/orange spoiler. If it doesn't cost much more I will def consider that possibility! Thanks for idea. Anyone want to try for a photoshop of that?

Ya the white looked a little akward.

Ya and primed it, but it turned out bad. I blame humidity and poor rattle can skills on my part. Maybe I need to wetsand it to make it look better? I haven't tried that. I'm afraid of scratching it.

It isn't to its full potential yet because I am terrible with a spray can. It doesn't match the rear bumpers black which I think is throwing it way off.

Can we call it the "Devil's Jack-o-lantern"? laugh

Honestly, I've always loved the orange those cars have and the black accent's just make it that much sweeter.

think your pro paint guy wants to paint over your crappy/uneven spray can job? or is he going to strip off your junk and put down new paint? i have heard fiberglass parts are never smooth or level and need a bit of sanding prior to a good paint job.

He is going to sand it off of course! My crappy paintjob is just temporary so it isn't an ugly white.

Just thought I would bring this thread back up to date. The hood/spoiler/air dam are in body shop right now getting painted. I'm going all orange spoiler/airdam and hood. The only thing getting painted black will be the inlets for the hood/heat extractors. The only things planned after that are:

1. Get new reverse bar

2. New passenger side headlight

3. Paint wheels black leave chrome lip.

4. Get all of my rock chips taken care of with a new paint job to mirrors/front bumper.

5. This is kinda wishful thinking but I would love to have the orange on the seats just like the PFYC Orange GTP Inferno package car had. Wonder where I could take that to be done...

Not while under extended warranty. (Goes up to 100k) and I'm roughly @ 76k). Probably when I finish appearance it will be right around 100k. Should work itself nicely.

I've started the basic mods of course. 180 tstat, CAI, 104 Autolite Iridium XP's. Downpipe/PCM would be the first to go in, then a smaller pulley after I got a scan gauge. Headers I can't really do myself (tried) but I do know a downpipe I can do. Also would like the gmpp strut tower braces.

From that point on I would have to do a lot of reading and learning how to work on my car before I could continue with mods beyond that (and this is why this forum exists:D).

You can do a Strut Tower brace without voiding warranty, thats not motor work.

Sounds like its going to look sweet man. When you start with the motor stuff just read, read, and read some more. When I did my cam I pretty much memorized the write up and then printed it out to have with me.

In preperation for the 2 car shows I'm going to be attending I took some vinyl that was left over from a project at work and made some covers for the plastic plates I had. Did a reflective black with a brighter orange. Here is a pic, ill try to get a better one in day time with it on later:

I did this after work and was tired and took about 20 mins. I'm sure my quality could of been better but they are just for one time use. All I did was take the black and wrap it onto the plate, then cut using xacto blade. I made a cardboard template for arrowhead quick and was done.

Body shop guy has kinda put my parts on the back of his mind so I'm hoping tomorrow he will be done. I won't be able to get it on till saturday morning or monday of next week, all depends on my work schedule and when he gets done. I don't want to push him because I want it done correctly. All I care about is it is done by the 24th (car show).
