3" all the way to the Y, then 2.5" the rest of the way. Sadly, I'm already wanting to change it. The interior resonance is horrible with the Flowmasters. And it's right at cruising speed, idle and high rpms, it's not an issue. I got em on sale some time back is why I used em... but coupled with headers they're just too much, even with a cat and glasspack for a resonator.

So... anyone got any mufflers to recommend? smile Preferably something more affordable this time around. Live and learn, right?

Magnaflows, FloPros, or some cheap summit turbo mufflers.

try swapping your glasspak out for a Hushpower II...it will cut the noise and drone down and still not restrict the flow enough to hurt your performance.

That was what did the trick for my system. thumbsup

A 3" Hushpower II is $179 at Summit. kooky It also looks to have a rather large body, I don't know if it would fit in the exhaust tunnel. At that price, however, I could easily get a set of Magnaflows or something else. Hmm...

The unit is a bit pricey, and I winced when I bought mine but I was so sick of the drone I was willing to pay it. The overall size of the Hushpower is about the same as a cat...mine fits in the tunnel nicely.

I dont think you'll be happy with Magnaflows either because they are fairly loud muffs...the one on my Sebring is a bit too loud for my taste and I'm sure it will eventually come off.

If you want to stick with the glasspak for a resonator then I recommend Summit's Fully Welded muffs. They are cambered for good sound control but still deliver very good flow...and they are priced right.

Well, the 3" Hushpower has a 6" body. I'm not sure the size of the exhaust tunnel, but that's getting close.

Unfortunately for me, there are no u-pull-it yards around here.
Sorry for delay. Just busy.

Anyway, there is price list of my local junk yard website.
http://www.upullandpay.com/Locations/cincinnati/PriceGuide.aspx

Just saw 1 GT already gone on this list. So they have 1 SE model and 1 GT model on their yard now. I might check it out on Saturday if you are interesting them. I can get side skirt, door molding and door rails out. But only I can't removed the side skirt rail out because they are rivet. I see Morad has few good shape that you might want to order them.

There is mine as example. As you see red that other side skirt that I brought it from clubgp member. He has SE model but got GTP so he doesn't need it. I brought it because metal rail are perfect shape but red side skirt was damage during shipping. Really, it doesn't bother me because I already have mine. I'm sure you could use that for sure.

Holy crap. Morad want $45.99 for 1 freaking door molding? Damn. Morad want $54.99 for 1 door molding with metal rail. Wow. I'm glad I got mine in local junk yard. I would glad to help you out if you are interesting them. I'm not sure how good side skirt becasue mostly underbody cars are lift by forklift that usually damage mostly. Also this car was lift under rims as like jack stand. Sometimes they are under the frame or side skirt either.

Thanks!

I have a day off because I'm going to NASCAR Truck Series at ORP tonight. I decide go junk yard today because this GT car was sitting there since June 29, 2010 (date on that car). I have a bad feeling that they will take it out soon after 1 month of sitting.

I have a great news but 1 tiny bad new.

The price is $60 + tax but I knew it is right price.

I gave them a note for
2 rocker panel
3 doors molding
4 doors metal rail

Got 3 doors molding (7.99 each but they forgot charge other one. I arrived home and look paper. I just found out. Oop. lol)
Got 4 doors metal rail (FREE!)
Got 2 side skirt. (19.99 + $2.25 core each)
Got 2 rocker panel metal rail (FREE!)

The pass. side door molding was damage during accident. Sorry. frown That's last piece of door molding you need. Maybe we will see other GT or GTP on my junk yard someday. There are 2 empty rows on GM section as I will keep eye on inventory. Maybe we will get lucky. They have ton of cars in warehouse to take oil, engine coolant, exhaust cats(against law), battery and some fluids out for safe reason.

I was so shock that I took rocker panel metal rail out. This car is 1997 model. Very deep rusty on rocker panel. I just pull like it is nothing. After I pull it out. My god. this rocker panel is gone.

Please excuse ugly color of this truck. This truck was my mom and it used be safety truck lol

On 2nd rail of door metal rail (it is little bend because of front pass side was accident. I think you don't mind about that. I'm sure it will hammer it back to make it straight again.) Oh 3 door moldings are very good shape. Just very dirty.

rocker metail rail: Driver side is good shape but pass side is little bit bent. I doubt it will notice under car. (if you don't like it then I can throw it away as it was free anyway)

side skirts (not bad shape. Just very dirty)

receipt

I hope you are happy with that. $70 buck for all but missing 1 front pass door molding vs. 1 Morad door molding $45.99. Nothing against him. I just like cheapest price. I think I went to junk yard probably like 30 times for help members out. lol

Palsut, I love you! How do you want to go about doing this?

Morad's pricing is hit or miss. He used to be reasonable on everything. I used to talk to just him to order stuff (like my engine/trans in my car). Now... it's all impersonal and growing business that has a good foothold in the market, so they don't really have competition.
