I was looking at the chop I did of my Sebring where I added the old skool BFGoodrich white letter T/As and out of curiosity I went to the website where I found the wheel/tire combo I intend to purchase for that car and plugged the GP in and they offer the same wheel style and T/As...its 15x7 Sportmax wheel and the comparable tire would be a 245/60/15 which offers just a touch larger diameter than stock. So I did a quick chop of the GP with this combo and it looks like a NASCAR street version...check out the fat white letter rubber (but I bet it would ride better)

got that whole stealth thing goin on cool

Hey Tony Stewart, this is what "Smoke" really looks like laugh

give this guy a medal for being the first very subtle and diplomatic vulture lol lol ...the larger issue being how in the world would you get them?
I wont be doing anything until after the union contract on May 15th...then you could PM me with your first offer.

And yessir mr Rook, the tires are quite a bit cheaper. thumbsup ...fine by me, I'll take looks AND price anyday.

I'm also thinking about going with the Monroe sense-a-trac quick struts and pulling my KYBs...that way I get a matched set of springs and hopefully a level ride height (and maybe a smoother ride as well...yes, I'm going all out for hi-way cruiser)

I thought you were done. So now you are getting new struts and wheels and tires again? I wouldn't mind those wheels on my car, the ones you may be getting rid of. They look so mean on your car too! I wish I went with monroes also, since I didn't replace springs when did kybs!

If I buy them I'll give you a UPS acct number to ship them on, via ground service.

Mind giving me info on where I can get those rims/tires for future reference? One day I might be able to afford a look like that. I've never been one to go for big rims and low profile tires (I'm more of a dragger, not a twister) and those have a very nostalgic muscle car look.

dont get me wrong, I'm stillplenty frustrated with the car and ideas dont put it out of the woods...if I do sell it off I'll wind up taking the time to de-mod it first.
However my wiser and better half told me plain the other night "You love that car and you know it, even if you have to spend a couple of grand, thats still cheaper than another car...its almost paid for, so dont be foolish"

what did I ever do to deserve this woman?

Well I hate to get in a bidding war with Bobby over T-bat wheels but I'm also interested and have a set of 17x8 with brand new 245x45's to offer as trade or sale if I get t-bat's,about shipping it cost me $120 to have a set of wheels and tires to be shipped from Ca.toTx.Chico(pops)

If you do this wheel swap, stay away from BFG Radial TAs. Their design has not changed in years. Take it from a muscle car guy. The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is a much better tire, except you will have to run a 235/60/15 which is 26.1" in diameter because they don't make a 245/60 which is 26.6". I was running 15" rims on my 92 Mustang 5.0. I was given a lightly used pair of Radial TAs, that replaced worn out Indy 500s on the rear . I bought new Indy 500s a week later. I run Indy 500s on my 400 HP+ Chevelle and had 235/55/16 Indy 500s on my 01 Monte Carlo LS. I had 45K on them before I replaced them due to a Christmas trip to Denver where the forecast was for snow every day. They had 5/32s and I did not trust them.

the sig reads "bred for the track...loosed on the streets"...as in turning a race machine loose where it can get to women and children...or ricers and putzmeisters lol

the link provided about the tires shows snow traction as the only place the T/A really dips low...and it rarely snows here...but I will ask about the Firestones and see what the price point is.

Trust me, wet, dry, cornering and above all straight line accelleration, the Indy whoops the TA.

those look like some fat slicks without the tread lines...

hold on hold on... i think i called dibs a long time ago on those rims... i'll have to find the pm but i remember talking to tbat a long time ago about this... like in 2007, maybe he'll have to auction them off on a closed ebay auction or something or maybe we can get a web cam auction going on...

I dont have a problem with people expressing interest as long as they understand that its on my time frame...the other side of it is that I have yet to quote a price to anyone and I can already say I'm not giving them away. And lastly is always the most important deal is dibs isnt money and I'm sure we all understand that...So I'll post when I'm ready to part with them (which will require that I actually have another set of wheels on the car laugh ) then I'll take PMs one at a time and see who agrees on a price.
