I never used flowmasters on my car aside from the Hushpower II which is a straight thru design, which I have in place of my resonator...my u-bend is gone and I have a hi-flow cat and I can tell you those two mods WILL make the car louder...the Summits are the first chambered muff I used outback since I took the stockers off...but I love the rumble, no drone while cruising and WOT talks sweet...I cant imagine a more expensive muffler sounding better.

Herc's link is correct...those are the exact muffs I purchased...they are also available in 2.25 in/out as well.

Any performance muffler is going to give you HP over stock mufflers, but face it, we are already expelling exhaust from only 231 CI of air thru two 2.25" mufflers. My stock 302 V8 mustang had two 2.25" mufflers. I dought if just a muffler swap would give any HP on our cars at all. Most guys swap mufflers just for a little rumble. If you had a single muffler car, the performance muffler would definitely give you some kick.
Bang for the buck I believe would actually be the magnaflow DP with hi-flow cat for $130 from performance peddler.

Sorry to tell you guys this but putting aftermarket mufflers on these cars won't do much other then change the sound.

The stock catback while not pretty does the job pretty good. So don't be expecting any gains when changin mufflers.

Go back to Nov 13th post "Magnaflow direct fit cat" or search for Peddler. There is more parts info in that post you will need.

You can clamp them on. The "welded" refers to the way they are assembled. Cheap mufflers are rolled and folded.
