"T-Bat to flight leader"
"Go ahead T-Bat"
"reporting to wingman formation...exhaust and afterburners 100% operational"
"Youre gonna learn one day kid that I wont steer you wrong"
"roger that Chico...wont happen again"
"Then tighten up that formation and keepup if you can...let's hunt some rice"
"roger that Chico...I got your six"
(insert angry full throttle GP exhaust growl)
lol lol
...just had to have a little fun...I picked up the T-Bat from the exhaust shop and Papa Chico didnt lie. Nice soft rumble at idle...just enough to hear...mellow growl under part throttle...sport car scream at WOT and no rasp backing down...but best of all...NO DRONE...I mean not even a little. The GXP tips look sweet.
check em out...(yes the car is dirty...gimme a break, I'm happy with my exhaust...finally)

dropped the corvette resonators and added a set of Summit racings fully welded mufflers (chambered design similar to Magnaflows) and added the GXP tips

Can you take an audio clip so we can hear it?

So you have no resonator at all now?

I still have the Hushpower in place of the factory resonator...I had the corvette resonators (which had the tips made on) in the stock muffler location. I now have these chambered mufflers in place of those with the GXP tips. I dont have any knid of vid recorder...I can ask some of my friends at work and see if one of them might.

Those tips look awesome! Glad to hear that your happy... maybe after I get my tranny fixed I can go for those as my next purchase. I still don't like my exhaust and I'm on setup #4

I'm half tempted to scrap my setup and go with a stock catback

I had it right... then I did a top swap... then headers... then a cam

Get headers and you'll hate your exhaust frown

these are the muffs I used...

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2D633222&N=700+4294923429+4294922711+4294922710+400304+115&autoview=sku

I'm guessing this would be the comparable Magnaflow...

...for you guys that have done headers, cams, top swaps, large D/P and/or hi-flow cats...I would think a chambered muffler would be even more vital. I'm sure mine would be a bit louder if I didnt have the Hushpower in place of the resonator...but I think if I go pressurized at any time in the future, I think this system will handle it fine. All I believe will happen is to get a stronger rumble than I have now. I think a glasspack or ZZ's new resonator (in the resonator location) would yield a stronger sound but I'll be sticking with these muffs for sure. I'm glad I didnt spend the extra for Flowmasters, especially since I read on their website that the 40s & Super 40s will have strong interior resonance...no thank you on that. I know we all want a strong sound from our cars but with this engine louder isnt better...and I dont think it has lost any flow, or atleast it doesnt feel that way from the "seat dyno"
