How much fluid does the tranny take in a GT 2002?

I just picked up a shift kit/gasket/filter and 12 quarts of Dexron 6 from ZZP

yes, I am doing a tranny flush. I have less than 80k on the car and am going to risk it.

Should I pick up the HD CV shafts? I don't plan on racing the car much but I may have some fun every now and then.

(I am secretly hoping I trash the tranny so I can get a new HD race one from ZZP or someone else..is that wrong of me?!)

Also started picking up all the suspension parts..

lateral bars (all 4)
all tie rods
strut plates
KYB struts
1" lowering springs
shortened dogbones
Camber bolts
pogo washers
tubular trailing arms
engine monut
tranny mount

Hoping to get those control arms

trying to figure out if I missed anything

Since you're doing a flush, I'm not sure how much fluid you'll use. When I drained mined, I put back in 8 quarts of dexron 6. Let me add that I spilled about a gallon of dexron 6 on the ground and had to go pick up 4 more quarts locally at $7/qt. banghead

I don't think you can use the HD shafts unless you had the HD differential.

You should be able to get control arms through gmpartsdirect.com

Most shade tree mechanics don't have the ability to "flush" the tranny only drain and fill repeat. Which will not harm the tranny.
