On my brother's 99 GT, his drivers window is insanely slow going up or down, most of the time you need to help it up. It was working slightly slow and noisy before, but suddenly got much worse.
I assume it is a problem with the regulator/motor, and a forum search verified that.
Now the question is, is it the motor or the regulator? I see them come together most of the time.
Now our problem is finding one! Most of the ones out there are for 4-doors. Anybody have some ideas?

It's the motor but to get the motor you have to get a new regulator frown

Yeah, the whole thing kinda comes as one part. smirk My passenger side window is getting pretty bad, but it can still do it's job by itself, though I have already looked at replacing it .. and found out it's all one piece.

Try going over to ClubGP and talking to Ed Morad; he's got about five or so GP parts cars.

Arc is right.

Send Ed an email with your problem. He's the man for parts. NOTE: Do it fast because he'll be at GPG for the weekend.

This one from Ebay claims to have fixed the known manufacturer defects, includes a 1 year warranty, and offers a $30.00 core refund.

Thanks fellas...

Future reference....the trim on the windows get sticky after awhile, i had my window busted out a few months back and the auto glass mentioned that if you spray silicon once every 6 months or so on the trim that meets the window all the way around it will glide much easier....less wear on the motor. Ive done it to all of my windows and they work as new!!!!! Just a heads up!

you are all wrong!! yes, they do usually come together. I replaced mine on wednesday... and they are held together with 2 screws!!! My motor was fine, the regulator (wires) were frayed and shot. I will be selling my motor (by itself) on ebay soon. You do not have to buy them together.

Is it a driver's door coupe? Or does it matter for the motor?
I'd buy it if so.

So mister smarty pants please post the part numbers for the separate items. Or how you can obtain new items without having to go through E-bay. All my research has came up with complete unit not individual parts. This board is not about telling other people you have priviledge information it's about sharing.

check Auto Zone you smart ass. They sell them seperate... they don't sell them together at all. and yes, it matters if its a coupe or a sedan. my car happens to be a sedan, I'd love to sell you my window motor but you have a coupe so it won't work.
