Does anyone know the pitch of the thread for our 14mm spark plugs?

It's a little close for me to call based on the ruler method. Should have bought a metric pitch gauge.

Can't you use a spark plug to match up the tap with?

Possibly. I checked the Snap-On website. The correct tap would be M14 x 1.25, in case anyone else might need to know.
