I recently bought a 97 gt, and the heads up display does not work. I havent had a chance to look over a wiring diagram as of yet, but i pretty sure its not just a blown fuse.
What are the common problem for these?, What breaks/fails?
Any experience or ideas on fixing this, would be much appreciated.

Early HUDs had a bad solder connection. It's an easy fix. Just have to pull the HUD out.

Welcome to the board.

Ok it sounds like it might be as simple as a bad connection, that would be nice.
What all is involved in removing the HUD, It looked like I woiuld need to tear half the dash apart to get at it.

I was driving today and I thought what the hell I'll try hitting the HUD, suprizingly it actually worked. Thanks for the simple fix, and hopefully it stays working.

it wont, they never do, just keep hitting it, or solve it completely and remove it and resolder it.
