until i turn car off then back on. But it doesnt do it all the time. So far its done it twice and only after i drive home from work which is all interstate for about 24 miles then when i come back into town and stop at the first red light then i take off get to about 35 40 miles an hour and and wont shift outta second? any ideas?

well just got it scanned. P0740 torgue converter clutch circuit malfunctioning. I dont think this is my problem but this does explain my problem while driving on the interstate and i get a rpm surge of a bout 100 rpms but i can hear it more in the exhaust note.

I coulda swore some one on here did a tranny write up but I can't find it. I rememeber reading about the P0740 code as a common code but the actuall problem was deaper in the tranny. Either way it sounds like the tranny has to come out.

i tried searching but nothing came up. that sucks well time to park the gp if thats the case.

I found what I was looking for it wasn't here but somewhere else.
