I want to put a K&N cone air filter on my '98 GT, and I was wondering if anyone would share what size cone filter they put on theirs, what the part nbr is, and where's the best place to get the best price for these ?

Thanks in advance. Eventually I plan to make a CAI setup, but at the moment, I've only got time to put in a cone filter, etc.

I gutted and got rid of my stock and installed a 9" filter from GrandPrixStore.com then build a plexiglass box for my CAI, wrapped it in 2000F reflective tape and it kicks ass. when it comes to your CAI just go to a glass shop and buy 2 1'x2' sheets of 3/8".

yup 9". Either build your own box like above or make a fenderwell intake.

The GP Store (PFYC.com) now has the Speedbuilt Custom Fenderwell Kit for easy installation, FYI.

Cool...thanks for the info...yes, I want to build my own box...doesn't look that hard...especially when there's other folks on the list I can ask questions if I run into a snag.

can somone explane to me what a fenderwell intake is? is that when you just put a piece of dryer hose from the tb to the cone airfilter thats hanging below the headlight?
