Well of course I couldn't wait with my money to save for a downpipe. I decided I would go with an HID kit (ALine 8000k 9007) for the low beams on my headlights. I do thank all of you for the helpfulness about the downpipe and almost feel bad for switching but I can put in the HID's in my underground parking but can't put in a downpipe (no tools or ramps) + its cold. I put aside some money though for the downpipe in the summer (have a fund now for it) so that way I can mod it in summer time back in Iowa which will be good hands on experience because I'd rather do it and learn then have someone put in for me. But anyhow for now I got the HID kit coming and will def get pics once I get it in. Is 8000k illegal?

All HID kits are illegal, only way HIDs are legal is if the car comes equipped with them at the factory.

Some do. Most don't.
Go with the 6k kit. The light output is better, and it still has the blue in it. I have 8k's in the heads, 6k's in the fogs and switchbacks in the corners, and wish I had gone with 6k's in the heads.

8ks match the switchbacks better, tho. I haven't been harassed about the HIDs yet, I have about the aftermarket exhaust and tint, but no tickets. Tint isn't technically illegal (my front windows are untinted, as required by law), but it is very dark, which cops don't appreciate. IMO, if you go with 4.7k or 5k, you'll be less likely to be harassed since the output is mostly white, versus blue-ish with 6k and 8k.

If only I had a warm garage and tools I would easiley have gone for the downpipe. Oh well this summer will be a good modding time for that and always something I can get my dad involved with too, he loves to help out and what not.
He bases alot of the stuff off of his Mitsubishi Eclipse 03 GTS so sometimes hes not much of help but when it comes to gettin under the car and workin on it he really does help. Hes not much of the guy u'd think to mod a vehicle but one day I went out and sure enough he was installing new grilles on his car heh. I think im starting to wear off on him.

Lol Karl I'll get some pics once they arrive, considering they haven't left California yet. I think the lil bit of blue in the lighting will look really good and compliment the way I want the car to look.
It's a shame I can't be like you Karl and spawn auto parts at my house:) lol jk.

weird. [/b]Heh, the invoice says there coming from california from a wholesale warehouse. There ALine brand...ne ideas if there good? Hope so.. Hope I've made a good decison with the brand I chose but with my luck and the amount I paid im sure they'll probably blow out after a few months of use or even earlier. I guess if its easy to replace I won't care to much.
