Look for shorts in the wires, are you using an aftermarket HU? or factory? double check connections and make sure speakers are not blown themselves

Let me tell you something, if you're going to need to replace them, it's a reeeaaalll bitch to do it.

When they are blown the speaker sounds like it's touching something, or something is loose inside. Or they just might now. For now check the wiring and make sure all the connections are ok.

You could use your voltmeter to check for resistance. You can see if the wires are touching metal in the car by putting one conact on a connector wire and the other to metal in the car.

Mine drivers side rear one quit a few days ago for just a minute, then it came back...been fine since. I'll have to keep an eye on it...

There should be one for ohms (sp?) it kind of looks like a horse shoe, if your voltmeter has it. It shouldn't show up as anything. If you have any numbers, then that means the wire is making contact with the car somewhere.

Cool, I live in Blue springs, what like 20 min away? There's a car show at my church this upcoming October 14th, and you should think about entering. There's cash prizes, door prizes, etc... I'll be there, and it's always good to meet a fellow GP guy. But hey... sorry for the thread hijack... back to topic!
