Instead of demodding i have decided to change it up a bit. The hood and Wing go in for paint soon, they are going Silver, possibly with black grill inlets. Wheels will be changed soon after ZZP weekend back to Black Tstars and eventually some Black 18's. Changing the corners from tinted ones to black clear corners, black GPO grills and i should be done with the appearance and then its onto the motor. This is operation Derice And yes i know the car is filthy, but Wednesday my friend Ron (superman4evr on CGP) and I are doing a full detail to clean her up a bit. Reason i took off the SD lip is i sold it for $240, thats 3 times more than i paid for it.. i couldnt pass it up. Plus i like the look without it now, im seeing to many local gp's with it now i just needed a change. Plus i was sick of hitting everything and always worrying about it breaking, and scraping every driveway i enter. I still scrape without it..

Looks good as always man. What made the decision on demodding and changing the mods?

Well i was looking at completely demodding and going with a new car, but after thinking about it a lot lately, im just giong to fix everything thats wrong with it, paint everything, make it faster and keep it, its not worth getting rid of this far into it now. So i just wanted to change it up a bit, got rid of a few things, and adding new things and just redoing a lot of it. Then eventually down the road getting a new car and keeping this one.

imo you should just keep it as is and start saving for the car you want. You must have found a job then if you are talking about a new car? Congrats.

No job but have had like 9 interviews in the past 2 weeks. New car would end up being Spring. And its not staying the way it is, thats why i get bored with it if it stays the way it is. So its time for a change.

Wheels are sold locally but if they fall through theyll be up for grabs.
And Ben, can you not read? You even quoted me where i said the new car wouldn't be till spring, you know thats 8 months from now.. that'll give me plenty of time to get a steady job and some money saved up..

[QUOTE]Originally posted by GrandPrixGTAlpine: [qb]Just wondering how can one afford a new car without a job? Why is it any of your or anybody else's business who pays his bills?? You even quoted me where i said the new car wouldn't be till spring, you know thats 8 months from now.. that'll give me plenty of time to get a steady job and some money saved up.. I guess I just assume things too often and yes it gets me into situations I don't want to be in. So I will admit for my wrong doing of my assumptions. I assumed you wouldn't work much and would get paid minimum wage. If it is anything like my life you would have other expenses which would delay getting a new car well beyond 8 months. However I'm also assuming your not making car payments and paying for a new vehicle in cash. So ya that is where I went wrong and I apologize. Let the thread continue.

Im definately hoppin' on the bandwagon with the whole scrapping the projector scene and going with stockers/black headlights.
Anyone that has projectors understands this.

But I do know I still love driving the car, and I still catch people looking at it in parking lots...and those are the things that make it hard to let go.

I'm going through that too, everyday I change my mind on what I want to do, it's almost paid off and I keep going back and forth on keeping it as is, slow build up, minor de-mod and keep it as stock, or de-mod, sell, buy and a beater and save for a house (clubhouse leader changes daily, yesterday I was very close to taking pictures of my s/e wheels to sell, and start putting my stock intake back on, pcm out, etc. and today I'm back looking online for a downpipe)
sorry, thread jack over, can't wait to see it painted all the same color should look really good boosten, and good luck on the job hunt my wife is miserable at her current job and has filled out over 150 applications (has a masters in social work) and has gotten 2 phone calls and no interviews

I don't have poor light output... yes projectors have better light output, but my headlights actually have decent output and good enough for me.

If you like the looks of the stockers better, I respect your opinion even if I disagree with it. If you think the light output of stockers is anywhere near that of projectors (not even mentioning the light being focused to the right place instead of being scattered everywhere), I again disagree, but not so respectfully.

Just my opinion, I'd say you def. need to paint some stuff the color of the body. Too much two tone everywhere. But those wheels will look sick.

Products used: Zaino Z2, Zaino Z5, Zaino Polish Sealant, and Zaino Paint Cleaner. 5 step process and 3 coats of Z5. Thing realy shines! Time to bust out the Z-18, Z-7, and Z car wash.

I was going to do the black on top, but the price of that compared to just getting the hood and spoiler painted. Id rather just get it all to match.
Also might be doing some custom airbrush work on the spoiler and or hood. We will see.
