I have done a search and could not nail down anything that would help. I have the problem with the ac blower and daytime running lights not working. I read that this is caused by the switch going bad. I have a new switch on order and need any tips on changing it out when it arrives Monday.

This is a pretty good write-up with pics that I used when I changed mine out about a month ago. You'll need an E4 socket, 1/4" drive. That's a female torx socket, you have to have it in order to remove the actual switch from the steering column. You can only get them from specialty tool stores for the most part.

We carry the E-sockets at work (AutoZone).

Are you sure they carry E4? The smallest any auto parts store around here had was E6. I had to pay $10 just for the stupid socket.

My bad on the link... looks like Rook got it anyhow. Pretty nice write-up regardless, helped me dive into the project without really worrying about screwing something up.

Thanks for the info, I had seen that link in one thread but it would not pull up at the time.
