I was doing a quick wash job on my silver GTP this morning and noticed some small black throwoff spots on the body just behind the left front wheel. I couldn't get them off with soap and water, so I tried 5 different methods (3 different kinds of Bug & Tar remover, WD-40, rubbing alcohol) and STILL cannot get these damn spots off! If I chip at them lightly with my fingernail they seem to loosen a bit, but not enough to remove the spot completely.

Any suggestions as to what product(s) I can use to get this stuff off? I spent an hour at it this morning and got nowhere!

Try Goo Gone and a clay bar.

I had a very similar problem with my car a few months back. Goo Gone worked wonders, but let me specify that I recommend applying the goo gone to a rag not directly onto the car because that stuff is a little too good a solvent. Use it sparingly and wipe the spot clean with some warm water and just a tiny bit of dish soap to remove any oil residue left behind.

Also, where I'm at they're always filling pot holes and gooping up the roads so I got the GP splash guards from the PFYC store and that saves me so much grief now. No more having to scrub the lower panels like crazy.
