Does anyone know if you need a pulley remover for the crankshaft pulley on a 1997 Grand Prix? One of my books says you do and another book says one doesn't. By the way I'm replacing the crankshaft position sensor. Thanks

Look's like you'll need to grab a harmonic ballancer puller.
This should help you:

The guy that's working on my car said he can't find a puller that is big enough(spread out far enough). He tried the one's from the auto stores.

You don't need to remove the pulley to replace The sensor...it makes it a lot easier once its off...but getting that pulley off was the biggest PITA I have ever encountered while working on my GTP...(Well, the bolt)
