Hey.
So I am going up a steep hill and the s/c comes up and suddenly there is a noticeable jerk and the boost goes off and all is well. I have not had that since my header had a crack and the heat damaged spark plug #1. The engine light did not go on and it was a single occurrence. What are some main issues that I could look into before I take it to a shop. I have not taken a plug out and checked the state of the electrodes.

If it only happened once, don't worry about it. If this happens a lot, I would bet that it is the plugs/wires or the cat.

this has happened twice over the past 6 months. The other night was the second one and the first was my fault, I think, as the only gas station available when I coming back from a trip had regular gas. Nothing happened though after that one. I am going to remove one plug tomorrow just to check out what it looks like. I did jiggle the cable on the coil pack for peace of mind. I'll see how it goes. thanks for the reassurance.

They do go bad but not nearly as fast or often as aftermarket ones.

Now the car is running very erratically. while in park the rpms are fluctuating and it feels like missfires yet the engine light is not on. I am therefore assuming that nothing is wrong with the ignition system and that the catalytic converter is plugged. Is that a good assumption? What would be signs of a plugged cat?
