probably the dimmer switch.

Check and see if your tail lights work

the tail lights work everything except the spedometer lights and the radio lights all the warnings work everythin but the person i bought it from had put in a remote starter could that have some to do with it ? thx

It seems to be a quite common thing for remote starts to mess stuff up.

Check all the wiring under there.

1) Go here , click on Vehicle Wiring Diagrams, select Pontiac from the drop down, then go to Grand Prix 1997-1999.
