The weatherstripping on my 01 GT's driver door is kinda worn in one spot so I want to replace the whole seal. Where can I order a kit? Are they easy to replace?

you are giong to have to get that from the dealer and they are about a 5 min job to install. You pull the old one off and there will be a track that stickes out and you just slide the new one in the grove that is in the strip over that spot. Once you start you will see what I'm talking about. It's easier than it sounds.

I had that problem so I had the dealership do it cause I was going away for a week. It was $137.

how much do the seals cost. just curious. if they are cheap enough, i would probably do the drivers door. i hate being able to hear noise and wind through the doors.

I'm trying to confirm that this is the right part number from gmpartsdirect.com (their prices tend to be very cheap for OEM parts), but if it is then it's about $55. The GM number I have is 10409207. Let's see how long it takes. I saw a kit from JC Whitney but I'm not 100% sure of it being right either, besides I would rather go with what GM originally put in there when they designed the door.

Just in case anyone was wondering that part number was right and I installed it on a few minutes ago. REALLY simple install. It took me less than an hour and the only reason it took me that long was because I had a stubborn screw that didn't want to come out of the panel. It even comes with the adhesive already applied. After the hard part was over I just needed to trim it off (the number is a universal kit for all the doors).
