my brother has the 40s on his GP. I love the way they sound. I am eventually going to get some. Congrats.

I don't know if the resonator will change tailpipe volume. But the inside drone will drive you crazy. At least swap it with a glass pack.

I couldn't stand the amount of drone I was getting. It was so bad my brain would vibrate.

Congrats on the F/M's, and welcome to the F/M club!

It's almost a year with my Super 40s on w/out resonator and I still love the sound. I was thinking about removing the resonated tips (helps with inside drone) but my friends know when I'm coming down the block. devilgrin

I swapped my resonator for a glasspack which seemed to work fine for while...but then I got a hi-flo cat and deleted the U bend and the drone was loosing the fillings from my teeth...I swapped the glasspack for a Flowmaster Hushpower and even though its just the tiniest bit quieter than I would like, the tone is powerful and the drone is long gone (praise the car gods!) my wife and my teeth thank Flowmaster...I'd leave the resonator right where it is...taking it off wont make it much louder but the drone will be horrible.
