Well me and my dad teamed up. We were able to make a sliding door that opens/shuts so if were getting bad weather I can close the hood up easily or if its a nice day can open them up very quickly. We used some self tapping screws and they went fine threw the fiberglass and are held in there really nice. As for functionality I doubt that small of an opening will do anything but it sure does look nice and a lot better then the holes i just had in it. So heres some pics..

Sry if images r a bit dark, ill try to get better.

So where did you get that door? Thats real nice, I was gonna buy the SD hood but I was worried about weather myself. What length screw did you use?

I'm not exactly sure but it was enough to go threw just about exactly length of the fiberglass, holds it down nice and secure. We did have to use washers in a few areas on both because of the curve in the hood, it wasn't 100% completely flat where we put them, it was about the only place they fit nicely.

I honestly wish openings were bigger but it will have to do.

Oh and the door, my dad picked it up from work, im not exactly sure what it was used for but im sure you could find something like it at a home depot or get creative and make your own.

Weather is no issue with an SD.

It's really no issue for the WS6 hood as well. Ive had no issues without the doors on their and nothing gets in that i've seen and there have been 0 issues, i would not even worry about it I did the door mainly to cover up the holes. I wonder if Tbat has had any issues with weather with his WS6 hood.

I let my car idle and sure enough I could feel and sorta see the heat waves coming out the extractors, well its working to some extent.

no weather issues so far...or water issues with washing the car. The only downside is that occasionally I catch a whiff of underhood "smells" coming out of the heat extractors and right down into the cabin vents.

No biggie.

Nice job on the vents thumbsup

We had to sand some of the stainless steel on those doors cause they could cut your fingers they were sharp as razor blades.

Ow, I hate razor blades cut finger. I hurt myself when I have class that cut the frog, worm, pig and some animals in my high school. When I was trying to cut pig off but it was hard. I got slip and it cut my finger deep. I just like F**K!!! It was like 3 weeks to heal it down. That's not cool at all. Sometimes I grab my finger when I see razor blades like "you won't get cut again" lol
