so im stuck in a predictiment... brakes are shot and my tires suck... should i go with the upgraded break kit from zz..if i do that only one set of my rims fit, so i go this route should i wrap those rims a better winter tire? or a better all season. If i go with the winter tire then i would need to get new rims for the spring... im so confused on what i should do .. i asked my dad and he suggested to get a beater for winter and have the gp as a nice day car.. which i dont mind more time to mod haha any suggestions?

Just go with a good set of all-season tires. Go to an online tire store and do some comparisons on wet grip, snow grip, dry grip etc and get the ones that will fit your needs the most.

Man that must suck. Having different sets of tires for winter, no thanks. Is the flag supposed to be out in that crap weather picture?

Sorry didn't answer about the brakes. The Upgrade kit would be cool but do you need the extra braking performance? If you go with the bigger brakes you'll need a set of tires that can actually take advantage of the bigger binders. To keep from having two sets of rims and tires I'd go with a cross drilled vented rotors, ceramic pads and stainless braided brake lines. The lines alone will improve your braking action. And you'll be able to use one set of rims. I ran a quality all season tire in the snow and had no issues at all.

well im thinking about getting the Goodyear Assurance TripleTred, and the rims that will fit over the bigger breaks and beat up pretty bad.. i dont have that much money for the better rotors so i was just going with the oem for right now and in the spring or so jump to the better rotors for front and back

Yeah, 81* in Bradenton Motorsports Park, Florida. Got me a little tan, or some sun burn, whatever you want to call it. I saw go with what Herc suggests.

I'm buying new tires next week for my stock rims, 235/55-16s. Well, not new, they actually have 5k on them but I'm getting the whole set for $100 mounted & balanced.

We used to get a lot of snow in the winter, not so much over the past few years. My sister, the previous owner of my GP, never had any problems getting around in the white stuff.

I also have an old Ford 4x4 pickup I can drive if it gets bad, but I'd rather be in the GP if possible, since the pickup gets about 12mpg.

My gf has a 2002 V6 rear-wheel drive Mustang. Forget about that thing if it gets slick!

GPs are great in the snow. The extra weight they carry puts some good pressure on the front tires and coupled with the traction control as long as you stay out of the 12" snow you can get where your going.

And I know how you rust belt peeps feel about salt and nice mods. Once the holidays are past I'm gonna grab the GMPP handling kit and get rid of all that nasty rusted stuff under my car.

Ohh High of 71 today smile But now if only we can get enough rain...
