For a performance sedan, the GTP has the lamest instrument panel ever made. Besides not having gauges for volts and oil pressure, the speedometer only goes to 110mph. The Grand Am goes to 150. What's the deal with that? The boost gauge really isn't a gauge at all, just some lights. How high does the 04's speedo go? I had the needle pinned at 110 the other day. It kept accelerating but I have no idea how fast I was going. That honks me off.

Gotta love the hud!

It does suck for info though. I believe the COmp G speedo goes up to around 150.

A real boost gauge at least would've been nice. Not to mention the switch that closes when your oil pressure is low comes on when it's already to late.

You want a real boost gauge? You mean one that's more specific then "a little," "more," and "most"?

That's ridiculous....

I disagree...I like the whole instrument panel...Who in the heck needs one that goes to 150? Anyways...get a hud and u won't need the needle...as for the boost...the regular person (as me) doesn't give a crap about how much boost there is as long as itz there...so if ur that into it, most people get those pillar gauges...just my 2 cents...

I'm with ya, you could give me a boost gauge with numbers on it and it would make no difference to me.....

im happy with mine and if you have the stock pcm your speed limited to 126 mph anyways 150 speedo is a waste and for the average driver i think its laid out nicely

I don't think I've even looked at my dash while driving.
Love that HUD!
As for a boost gauge, I use my seat for that. The further back I'm forced into my seat = more boost!

I've got a 3 pod pillar with boost, mech oil pressure, and a/f ratio. Love it.

And it looks so nice everyone thinks it's stock.

I have taken my GTP to the max and have to say that if you have time to look down on your spedeo then you must have concentration of a hawk. Personally since the road was not so good I was thankful for the HUD and being able to know what the speed is without looking down. I almost never use the speedo. Also when racing I just want to know that my S/C is at the max, personally I don't care if I am getting 6.25 lbs of boost or for that matter anything other then little, more and most! I would agree that cars are suppose to be for transporation and not for recreation and things like GPS and other gadgets can seriously divert drivers attention, but I still like the busy look of the GTP's dash.

My 2.3584502 cents

The dash isn't busy at all, it's almost spartan. That's my point. It's a tachometer away from a chevette dash. I had a buick station wagon with a sportier dash than my GTP. I will be buying the a-pillar gauge thingy though. At least there is an option for people that are obsessed with knowing precisely what's happening inside the drivetrain. And I still would rather have a speedo that at the very least goes as fast as the car can. No sense in putting a 200mph speedo on a car only capable of 100. The same is true for putting a 110mph speedo on a car that can go 130. I don't think I'm unreasonable. It's all perception until you floor it anyway.

I see your point, but I'm not looking down past 100 anyway.
The speedo on my father's Tahoe goes to 100, and by God it's serious. Stops right on 100.
