I was looking at my car the other day and I noticed that the wheel gap up front appears to be wider than the gap in the rear, is this normal? If so is there anyway to level it out, it looks kinda odd IMO. I do have some subs in the trunk but the box and speakers themselves aren't very heavy.

Sounds like possible spring sag, which will happen as they start to age.

A set of KYB struts will fix that.

That will fix the stance, but not the spring sag right? If the spring is sagged, the struts will hold the backend up for a little while, but eventually they will wear and come back to rest on the saggy springs right?

It's a combonation of the oem struts and oem springs that go bad and cause rear end sag.
My rear end was sagging when I got my car. Within a couple of months of having my car I replaced the struts with KYB's. Coming up on three years now and I'm still sitting and riding very nice.
I think replacing with KYB's is an inexpensive alternative to replacing struts AND springs.

Thanks Austin. Makes sense I guess since the rear doesn't hold a lot of weight. The struts alone can probably work fine.

Struts are the biggest culprit.

The struts themselves (no springs) are just shock absorbers, they don't hold any weight, they merely control the spring oscillations. Springs are what support the weight of the vehicle.

You might be surprised with the GPs.

Struts actually do support weight. They act on the suspention by preloading it. Grap a shock of a truck some day, quite surprising how much pressure they really have.

I might have to try the struts but I put the 17" wheels that were on my monte onto the GP and the gap doesn't look that much bigger in the front now, but it is still a little different. Can anyone tell me why the rear springs start to sag? The rear end doesn't weigh as much as the front so I would have thought the front would have started sagging first. Also how much of a pain is it to replace the rear struts on a GP? You guys are awesome thanks for all the help.
