Wow...now I get your name Herc man. I didn't know you were a C-130 jock. Where is that picture taken at? I see a SA-16 in the very background. That appears to be a Navy 130 with the old engines.

I had one of them (Coast Guard HC-130) last year blow the air starter on the ramp at my FBO here in Daytona, right in front of my hangar after getting fueled. Luckily there were to HH-60's Jayhawks there to run for parts. I couldn't get my Seminole out. The guys were really cool. We ended up waiting till it was fixed about 10 hrs later. So my moring VFR flight became a night IFR flight.

That pic was taken last friday on Andros Island in the Bahamas. I'm a loadmaster for the navy. Yep we are runnin the T-56-16s. There was talk of updating to the same engine prop combo the J's have but that fell through.

Lets hear it for the Hercs!!! I go down to NAS Oceana almost every year for the Neptune Air Show. Seeing the Blue Angels is absolutely awesome but I gotta admit I get off watching "Fat Albert" do the JATO launch!...then when he comes back around for his high speed flat pass is just friggin great! I love watchin that big monster blast by like an old WW2 fighter plane!
Now, about that picture....WHAT IN THE HOLY TRUCKLOAD OF BAT GUANO IS THAT??!!!!
While its true that The Bat keeps many vehicles in his stable I have yet to see a contraption such as this (except maybe his urban tank from Frank Millers "Dark Knight Returns")
Where did you get the pic from? I know they are filming the next Batman feature film, tentatively titled "Batman Begins" loosely based on Frank Millers "Batman, Year One"...principal photography is being shot on location in London I believe and I have seen no spyshots of the new Batmobile (sometimes the toy market can be an indicator, Matchbox released a new Batmobile this year)...but this thing?!! That looks like a sled pulling tractor butt-slammed some bastardized swamp buggy and this is the resulting birth defect. (can you tell I dont like it?) :p no

yeah, I went and checked it out myself...just had to see with my own eyes. I did however also check out the fan message boards and did a little digging on my own. I was reminded of the title "Batman Begins" which is covering his origins. So the comic book story goes,in bringing together all the equipment he knew he would need to fulfill his mission, Bruce Wayne drew heavily on his company's development of military hardware. His first vehicle is an experimental urban assault vehicle that was called "Tumbler" which he modified heavily for his intended use. So I dont think this is going to be "THE Batmobile" (Dear God I hope not) I think maybe this is where they made a great choice of using MorganFreeman to play the role of Lucious Fox. As CEO of Wayne Enterprises, he will probably be instrumental in providing Bruce with all the hardware he needs...hopefully by the end of the film we'll see the purpose built Batmobile. (I still love the "Keaton" car the best of all!)

You could put 3 GPs in the back. However I wouldn't put mine in there since there really is no way to chain it down. With 32,000 pounds of gas and no cargo the flying dump truck is pretty good at puttin the hammer down.
