Wow...now I get your name Herc man. I didn't know you were a C-130 jock. Where is that picture taken at? I see a SA-16 in the very background. That appears to be a Navy 130 with the old engines.
I had one of them (Coast Guard HC-130) last year blow the air starter on the ramp at my FBO here in Daytona, right in front of my hangar after getting fueled. Luckily there were to HH-60's Jayhawks there to run for parts. I couldn't get my Seminole out. The guys were really cool. We ended up waiting till it was fixed about 10 hrs later. So my moring VFR flight became a night IFR flight.

Lets hear it for the Hercs!!! I go down to NAS Oceana almost every year for the Neptune Air Show. Seeing the Blue Angels is absolutely awesome but I gotta admit I get off watching "Fat Albert" do the JATO launch!...then when he comes back around for his high speed flat pass is just friggin great! I love watchin that big monster blast by like an old WW2 fighter plane! Now, about that picture....WHAT IN THE HOLY TRUCKLOAD OF BAT GUANO IS THAT??!!!! While its true that The Bat keeps many vehicles in his stable I have yet to see a contraption such as this (except maybe his urban tank from Frank Millers "Dark Knight Returns") Where did you get the pic from? I know they are filming the next Batman feature film, tentatively titled "Batman Begins" loosely based on Frank Millers "Batman, Year One"...principal photography is being shot on location in London I believe and I have seen no spyshots of the new Batmobile (sometimes the toy market can be an indicator, Matchbox released a new Batmobile this year)...but this thing?!! That looks like a sled pulling tractor butt-slammed some bastardized swamp buggy and this is the resulting birth defect. (can you tell I dont like it?) :p

That would be like putting the hammer down in a garbage truck.
