Well Ive been looking around and I found one 20min away from me for $100 already painted bronze mist. The only issue is that when researching about the air dam ive come across some variances in the installation. Some have gaps and some don't. Im looking to get it tight to the bumper. Ive seen some where there is a 1in gap inbetween the bumper and the air dam. Is there a proper way of installing it? I know it bolts on to fender bolts, and you need double sided tape. But what is the proper installation?

No need for double sided tape, but you can use if you want. If it sticks an inch away from the bumper they don't have it installed correctly. I had to make new holes for mine. If I used the holes already there in the fenderwell I found it sagged and would leave the gap that your talking about.

Have someone else hold up one side of the air dam in the right spot while you work on the other side. Remove the front wheels. It's not necessary but easiest, if you don't you'll have to crank the wheels one way to get some screws in and then crank the other way to get the rest, and the whole time you'll be fighting the wheel. Push the airdam up flush with the bottom of the wheel well or until it fits nicely with the foglight and then screw it in. Do the same with the other side. You may want to add a screw in the middle as well just incase. Just use some screws and don't over tighten, it's just plastic and they'll start to spin and they won't be tight.

EDIT: Also, I think i'm the only one on this site who actually has the SD air dam lol.

Ah I see well the person I was talking about with the 1in gap is REDGTX. Meanwhile I saw how tight yours is to the bumper. Thats why I was wondering.

Hmmm sound like it is from FLIP's SD front air dam same color? I think RI and MA is close right? I thought it is supposed to be mine for next year install when I drop my car? I already ask him for this last month. He says yes, I can hold it for you in Spring 2009. I ask him ok can I pay you for $100. He says just pay me in Spring 2009. I say fine but now sound like you are getting this one since he doesn't want to shipping this out. If he sold it then I would ask him where is mine?

No, I'm not back off the deal. All I got his message that just pay me in Spring 2009 when I bring my car over there for huge body work on my baby like install side skirt, lower door molding, roof rail and sd front air (unknown right now if it is gone or not)

I guess it doesn't matter. ChrisGT can have it since he is nearly by. I'm sure FLIP would like it gone and have some $ right away.

I would buy new SD Front Air Dam from pfyc.com but their shipping cost as same my F1 hood shipping is totally bs. No big deal. We don't have like "written agreement" or something. That's his choice if he want to change his mind. I think my stock front bumper look much better without them.

HE HAS 2 lol Im guessing 1 of them is yours. Getting all worried over nothing palsut :p If he only had one and it was promised to you I wouldn't move on it bro, im not like that + I doubt hes like that either. Also I haven't picked it up yet I'm asking about installation before I do.

Also flips is for $100 and I was looking at 1 for $80 but when I saw pics it was warped and scratched up and pretty far in NY. Then I found FLIPS and he had two. I asked if it was still for sale he said he had another one same color.

lol I have no idea he has two of them. I'm not worry about that. It is just car part. I just let him do whatever he wants. I can't control if he wants sell it out for breaking "hold it for me". It always happen all the times when seller want to change mind to sell other person who might buy it now instead wait it out. I'm not really angry at him if he wants to sell it instead hold it for me. Like I say it is no big deal until you told me he has two lol
