As some of you may know, a few weeks ago while I was gone on vacation, my family could not get my car to run longer than 2 seconds. It was suggested the fuel pump resistor could be at fault, but the 2001 does not have one. Well, I got back home and it ran fine! (how crazy is that?). Tonight it did it for me for the first time!
So, I started by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer, no luck.
I then put my saved stock PCM back in, and it worked! To be absolutely sure, I swapped the two back and fourth a couple of times.

Yes, my Intense PCM is bad. I've only had it a few months, too. I don't know if I can really blame Intense, because all they do is flash it, but I will be giving them a call tomorow.
Anybody know what their policy is on this sort of thing?
As austin said, the stock PCM does "shift like a little girl" ... now I can really notice a difference going back to stock.

Give intense a call I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out.

You never know, the pcm could be bad. I seriously doubt it is the programming of the pcm itself. Intense has good customer service.

good luck

So, you can call them again and get a new one or leave your stock on or get a DHP.

Strange. When you gave them a new one, you gave them your VIN number and they gave you a totally different PCM or did they just reprogram it again.

It was a completely different one.
Scott emailed me back, and said the chances of both going bad are extremely rare. He said I could 1) try another 2) bring the car in and try to get diagnosed or 3) get my money refunded.
Man, they have some good customer service at Intense. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem either!

you might have a short somewhere in your electrical system and the first thing it hits is the PCM.
