I read 00grandprixgt's post about the exhaust and was wondering if these are the right mufflers to get according to what 72chevman said???

If you have a stock system, you need the 2 1/4" ones.

Did you see this post with all the dyno and DB numbers? The summit fully welded beat the turbo in every test, but are raspy with a DP or U-bend delete, but are $20 more per muffler.

These are the fully welded mufflers I have on my GP

My wife's monte has these, but they are 2.5"

I loved the chambered until I did a high flow DP, then I needed to put a resonator back in because the raspy ricer sound.
Chambered with stock DP without resonator is good chambered with high flow DP without resonator is bad Chambered with high flow DP with resonator\glasspack is good Turbo muffs really don't matter, but they do not have as much sound, but no drone.
Sound is subjective. I can try and make another video of my car tomorrow with current setup and no wind if you like.

yes please because i dont have enough money to buy a new DP and take out the resonator(emissions purposes, if that matters) and just want a good deep sounding exhaust

The resonator does nothing for emissions. Midas charged me an extra $5 to weld in a piece of pipe where the resonator was over the labor price of the muffler install.

then what does the resonator actually do? ok well then i will think about it, so most likely go with the 2.25 chambered muffler with resonator delete?

Here is my GP with those $17.95 mufflers you have listed. I still have stock resonator. Exhaust Vid Edit: It sounded the same before I put in the 3" dp and hi-flo cat so whether u have a bigger dp or not won't matter.

Resonator helps eliminate cabin drone. I'm running one of 72chevman's non-recommended setups (3" ZZP DP, res delete, summit fully welded muffs). Under 1500 RPMs, sounds great. Over 2500 RPMs, raspy but I like it. 1500-2500 RPMs, DRONE! Which makes it pretty annoying because thats the RPM range I'm in most off. Has definately promoted jack-rabbit starts to keep out of the resonant zone.
