I just found a 2002 40th anniversary GP listed as a "GT". I looked at the interior picture closely to find out it is equipped with the basic style DIC, so have come to the conclusion that it is not supercharged, which made me wonder.

Did they ever make 40th Anniversary GTP's?? Or are they all N/A cars? I absolutely love them, but I refuse to buy another GT wink Nothing against the GT's, I just figure since I'm getting a new car, I might as well upgrade devilgrin

We have 2 40th Anniversary GTP Coupes in our club. As Framos said, they were offered as GT's and GTP's, 2door, and 4door..... Last year of the 2 door Grand Prix.

Wow, I didn't know that it was the last year of 2 doors. That's a bummer. Well I'm on a search for a nice 40th GTP coupe with low mileage, hopefully one will turn up in my area right around the time I'm ready to buy.

As was already stated, the 40th's were offered in both coupe and sedan GT and GTP. The black ones are GT's and the Black Cherry (purple) ones are GTP's. I have a 40th GTP Coupe and I love that car to death. I've seen one GT in a nearby town from time to time and I've seen one other 4-door GTP on the highway.

Just a few pics for your viewing pleasure....

One of my mom's friends (just happens to have become our neighbor now too) has a 40th GTP. I've seen them everywhere here, honestly, but I've yet to see a GT. I'm really wondering whether they were even as popular as the GTP.

I love the color on the GTP, and the interior .. AHH SO JEALOUS. lol

What color is that? I love that color on cars, but I'm not feeling the interior coloring. Just not my style, but it is very clean thumbsup

I've never heard of this..... Do you have any documentation to back that up?

I was under the impression that both GT/GTP 40th Anniversary Grand Prixs were available in the Cherry color.
Also that ONLY the 40th Anniversary was available in that color.

"For the 2002 model year, Pontiac has introduced a Grand Prix 40th Anniversary version for its GT and GTP Coupe and Sedan models. Some of the special appointments that set the 40th Anniversary Grand Prix apart on the road include: A unique hood and rear spoiler, dual-dual exhaust system, roof fences that mirror the production car’s NASCAR cousin, special wheels and two-tone Dark Cherry paint."

sweet lookin ride...good luck on finding yourself a nice GTP nad...I know where your coming from...if I was gonna change up, I'd go GTP as well...even though I'm not a big fan of leather interior, I'd get over that for all the other goodies.

I've got the GP40 GT sedan and do it get a lot of looks. I have been looking for the scoop decals 'cause it will be charged if the KIT ever comes out or CSC.

angelluv98, I'm jealous. Your car is so beautiful. That's exactly what I am looking for. I'll probably be searching really hard in about a year when I'll be about due for a new car. Nothing better than a girl with a sweet car.

I may well be buying a 40th Anniversary Sedan GTP this coming weekend. It's only got 30,096 miles, and the dealer is only asking $12,995 - soon as I get the money from the Fiero I'm selling, I'll be heading to the Pontiac dealer to snatch this one up. It'll look nice in the driveway alongside my wife's 98 GT coupe.
