so why cant i start with a smaller pulley? i thought you had to mod your enginge what do you have to do so that your enginge can take the smaller pulley?
You have to do AT LEAST an intake, u-bend delete, and a new PCM. To be safe I would get a 3" D/P w/ a high-flow cat (includes u-bend delete) as well as a nice intake. Then you can drop to about a 3.5-3.4"
Oh and the stock 3.8 will get you to about 6 to 8 psi of boost.
You can run it with very little mods, JUST RISKY, as in Knock Retard. I have all the available mods and I am seeing 6* kr at WOT. I am in the process of tuning to get the best out of it. The PCM I got from ZZP is pretty generic. The shifts are nice, but you definitely have to tune the PCM for your mods and each car is different. I did my first tune a month ago and I gained a bunch of gas mileage and lost some KR.

dude. slow down. look at my mod list and i am still apprehensive about dropping a pulley size. All you guys are forgetting, his car has an L36 bottom end. These L36's werent made for boost. you have to have lots more supporting mods to even think about dropping pulleys and whipples etc.
