I have the '97 5 spoke polished wheels. Could someone tell me what the lug pattern is? Or how much they weigh?

For instance, what does 16 X 6.5 mean? And 115mm mean?

I am very interested in buying a new set of rims.

Would these work?

I know it all sounds very vague, but I don't know anything about tires.

Thanks. As always. cheers

Ok rims are sized by diameter and lip width. So a 16x6.5 is a wheel 16 inches in diameter and 6 1/2 inches wide. When you see a bolt pattern of say 5x115 that is five lugs and they are 115mm from center to center as you go around the circle. As for weight of a stock wheel iirc the torque stars are the lightest at about 16 pounds each. I may be wrong but I do know that it is very close.

Oh and by the way don't bid on those wheels if you want to put em on the GP they wont fit they have bolt spacing of 120 we have 114-115

Excellent info. Thanks Herc.

I think I'm going to have to buy those rims brand new. Aye, so much money.

Does anyone else like these rims? Or does anyone else like a similar style they could show me?

Thanks.

Try www.TireRack.com.

Their prices are very good. Got bad tires, buy them there too and they will mount/balance/ship them to you. All you have to do is slap them on and get chicks.

In reference to TastyBake's comment, why do people think rims automatically make your car look nice? I know it wouldn't make mine look great all by themselves and I've lost count of the cars I've seen with $1000 in rims when they barely spent that much on the car. Case in point is a guy at the post office today with nice rims on a Escort. My neighbor has a riced out Probe; sounds like sh*t, has an unpainted body kit, but it has nice rims. crazy

They look like Kragers. Nice...

I was thinking about getting rims but then I'd much rather get the performance first...

That's why I like em they remind me of the old Crager SS's

As for wheels yes I believe a set of wheels makes or breaks the overall appearance of a car. And as for the cars that have rims that are worth more then the car. Well there is a description for those it is "Ricer"

I'm going to buy new wheels for my car next month also. I see 5x114.3 and 5x115 available.
From what I've been able to find out, the 5x115's are the bolt pattern of the stock wheels.

Will the 5x114.3's fit properly or will they be loose and have a "thump" when you start or stop the car? I've heard this can happen with the wrong fitting wheels. I just want to find out the right info so I can spend my hard earned $$$ wisely and be happy with my choice.

Lemme know your thoughts guys, thanx

Surely you jest. That often times looks very nice. Especially with a silver lip around the edge.

The rims in your sig line look sweet. I'd love a pair like that.

I want some 5 spoke that are slim to show off the calipers/rotors.
