my uncle thinks his bone stock 04 monte carlo ss can spank my bone stock 98 grand prix gtp. i told him no way. i dont ever think his monte could take my 08 torrent gxp. lol. what do you think guys think. who should win?

So enlighten me, you said he wanted to take your GTP, and then you stated your 08 torrent gxp. Which cars are you racing here? Regardless, talk is cheap, race and find out.

well he actually said he could take both of my cars. so i think i will race him against both of them, one at a time. i think i should be able to take him with both, but only one way to find out. hit the drag strip and put ur money where your mouth is.

yea thats true. but i have heard that the 97-03 grand prix gtp's were faster than 04 monte carlo ss's. but i guess we will just race and find out. and find out if my torrent gxp is faster too, i think it should be too.

If it's the non-sc model then it's the same 3.8 that's in the Grand Prix GTs, but his Monte is a couple hundred pounds lighter.
If it's the sc model then you two have the same engine and will be similarly powered and, interestingly enough, have similar weight. About 30lbs difference.

I looked up the weight to, thought it was interesting how close they were in weight. I think it'd be a fair race, just go and try it out and see who wins.

I take it the SS is SC'ed? As far as a race bone stock the GTP would be a hair faster just because the 04 MCSS has a more agressive PCM and TC .

Those cars are simular, I think it will be based on who's the better driver. As far as the Torrent GXP, it does have a little bit more horsepower(260 I think) but since the torrent gxp is an suv it weights more than the Monte SS and the Monte might win but I could be wrong.
