The LIM gasket replacement would be $180 for the labor. Pulley swap is $20. PCM tuning is $50 for basic tune/setup and first hour. Additional tuning time is $25/hour. Extra $50 to hook up a wideband O2 sensor for tuning if you want wideband tuning done.

Don't really understand what the wideband tuning is (or what's so good about wideband)? Can anyone explain?

Wideband makes tuning WOT easier. For a basic tune that gets your fuel trims in line and adds a bit of spark advance (which gives higher mpg and more power, if theres no knock holding you back), you will not need a wideband.

oil pressure is a good one to have, maybe vacuum/boost as the other if you're getting a 3-pod. I would get a 180 tstat, especially living in IN.

You're right. And if you're tuning, I would think that WOT would be an essential part... Agree?

Depends what you're going for and how much time you want to pay for (since hes not doing the tuning himself). If I were paying someone to do it, and I had to pay extra for the WB to be hooked up, I would just have them get my fuel trims in line and give me as much cruising spark as possible. Should be fine for a DD. If you're running at the track frequently, WOT tuning will be worthwhile.

Yeah it's my daily driver, so i'll probably skip out on the wideband for now. I just wanted to get some more power out of the beast. Will I feel a decent amount of power from the 3.4? Kinda sucks that i'm getting this done now in the beginning on soon-to-be winter. Oh well, it will be done for spring, then I can get some apperance stuff (Rims, HID's, tint)

you will notice quite a bit of difference on the 3.4, especially in winter, as long as you run KR free that is.

The colder air will add about another 1 or 2 psi of boost so hopefully your car can handle it.

Boy my car loved the sub freezing temps. I coulda swore I picked up another 15hp or so.

I'm going to get the Aeroforce scan gauge to look for KR. Should I also get the 3.8 Modular Pulley just in case I would have to change back for some reason.

get the aeroforce first. see how much KR ur getting if any. You might be able to keep the 3.4 and just run 94 octane if you have a degree or 2. BUT you might not have any, I wouldn't waste the money on a 3.8 until you know you can't run a 3.4.

Ok I just ran through and made a quick shopping list on ZZP. Should I go ahead and get the wideband and eliminate one of the other gauges? What about mufflers, do you think now would be a good time to throw mufflers on also or do you think with my set-up it would sound good just to keep the stock ones on? Anything else I shoud add?

woah, why the expensive AEM gauges? You can get a $30 boost gauge that will work the same and look just as good. Look at glowshift gauges.

Everything else looks good, unless you LOVE the look of those AEM gauges and don't mind spening the $350 on them, I would get a cheaper gauge and put the money towards something more useful.

Check out their site, they have ALOT of gauges, some very similar looking to the AEM gauges on ZZP's site but alot cheaper.

I know that's what I said, they are kinda expensive. I just threw them on there for now, I haven't shopped around yet, it's still early, only 12:20 on a Sarurday. LOL! What do you think about the muffler deal R.S.? Keep it stock or not? Should I do the 180* t-stat also?

the stock mufflers are actually pretty good. It doesn't hurt to put on new mufflers but it's money that could be better spent.

If I were you I would keep the stock mufflers and when your getting your downpipe done just have the shop take the resonator out. This will make it a bit louder and give it a deeper tone.

I would go with a 180* tstat, not the 160*.

Dont do those ridiculously priced gauges. And go with a 180* t-stat, not 160*

I'd rather get those and then get the HID set-up too. Which HID set-up do you guys think is best the ZZP or WBS or somewhere else?

I have the glowshift boost gauge, it is nice. The red matches the stock gauges pretty closely which is what I'm going for.

If you want Hi beams then get the bi-xenon kit. If you get a single beam kit then when you try to use your hi-beams they just wont work.

Don't be fooled into thinking higher priced HID's are better. VVME's are great.

I might just get those too. I do want some blue tint so I think the 8000K will be perfect and still have good light output. (I was kinda in a toss-up between 6000K/8000K. They are the 9007 bulb correct.

For the fogs do I need to order another set or can is there a better route.

Yes, for headlights it is 9007 bulb.

HID's are the best route for fogs as well.

Stock fogs is an 880 bulb and yes, you would need another single beam kit.

I would recommend aftermarket glass fogs to replace the crappy stockers. Most aftermarket fogs take an H1 or H3 bulb or something like that.

Ok I can see getting a single beam for the fog lights but should I get the Bi-Xenon for my headlights. Are the hi-low beam worth-while?

Well now that I look at it again before posting this... i'll just get a set of the single beam 880 8000K for fogs (but I guess that depends on the housing I get, anyone here have decent aftermarket fog housings) and Bi-Xenon 8000K for headlights.

Hella Optilux Fogs

Those are the fogs I have, they are very bright and look 100 times better than the ugly stock plastic lenses.

Those Optilux 2500's take an H3 bulb. So you would want an HID kit with an h3 bulb in whatever color you want, 6k, 8k, 10k whatever.

I've never used a bi xenon kit. At the time I had stock capsules I only did city driving so I never used hi beams. Now that I have my projectors they only take single beams.

If you use your hi beams, then I would suggest getting the dual beam kit.

the elite boost gauge is pointless for our applications.

The elite oil pressure gauge could be useful though.

I use an ebay kit. and its worked perfect for a while now.

My stock housings have been fine for a couple years now.
