I just installed the Intense Standard pcm into my car and let it idle for a few minutes. It's a 97 and I've been told a crank case learn does not have to be performed. The check engine light doesn't shine either, so I take that as a good sign.

Either way, when I first installed it, I clicked off and on performance shift a couple of times and it worked fine. Then I clicked it when I was driving and it didn't work at all. It worked once, but right when I clicked it off it never came back on. Then it only came on/off when the car was in park, and now it doesn't do it at all.

I really hope this is something weird that I'm over looking. It's really cold and snows about 6 inches where I live. Would that effect any thing?

Thanks.

One thing that Intense has that is better than any product they sell, is their customer service. Get in touch with them and explain your problems.
They have excellent customer service and I'm sure they will guide you through your problem.

I had issue's with mine when I first got it, and they were more than willing to help me out.

I would suggest you register on 3800 tech. and place your question in the appropriate forum,I know they are busy at intense but that is no excuse for poor customer support,You know of course that 3800 tech is an intense website and you should get some help there,if not I would call direct and demand some satisfaction.

hey Initial, if you disconnected the battery for a few minutes, this would erase your memory in your new pcm right?

How would I open up my shift knob to inspect it. Maybe the performance shift if broken.

How would I check/fix it. Or repair it.

Any guesses?

read the topic "performance shift" dated may 17 2004, that might be what you need.
