This is beyond sweet. Either the guy with the SRT-4 can't drive or the GTP was modded, I don't care though cause the GTP owned him.

Wythe, you just made my whole weekend with that one. Every time I see an SRT-4, I'm gonna think of that video! What says it's an SRT-4 anyway, there's really no way to tell.

The SRT-4's I've seen are only different in that they have a single scoop in the hood, right in the center, and the spoiler is taller than the other Neon spoilers.
I had the same question for awhile. Just looked like another Neon save for those small non-headturning differences. *shrug*

What the heck is done to that GTP?
I've raced my buddies '05 SRT-4 from both a roll and a stop, and I lost like the guy driving that SRT-4 did in the video.
Has anyone else with mods like mine lost against an srt-4? Now I'm scared theres something wrong with my car..

The title on the video clip said it was an SRT-4. I don't know for sure. It's cool either way, I bet that guy has a different opinion of Grand Prix's. Plus it has a high pitch whining sound when he rev's it, does that sound like a turbo?

The SRT's have a good aftermarket following. They probably did some stuff to it to bring up the power. Plus the car is a lot lighter.

Stock SRT-4's run 14.9 1/4s I believe. Considering whether the driver knows how to shift it could mean a loss against a stock GTP. As for really fast SRT-4s, they can do lots of things for hp increases and they benefit a great deal more per mod due to the weight.
Arcxnus, the SRT-4s also have two cutouts in the fascia above the grill that meet with the hood.

What mods would it take for a GTP to do that?

If that was an SRT-4 you would deffinatly hear the turbo. I've raced one befor in my last car and those turbos are really loud in that thing. In the vid you cant hear anything. Its most likely not an SRT-4, but he still got his A$$ handed to him hahahah

I dunno....I've raced about 4 or 5 Srt-4's and never lost...
The closest one was at the 1/8th mile track in Glenwood. I ran a 9.04 or something and he ran a 9.4... He had a boost controller and a chip and a few other small things..and he did know how to drive..

I wonder how the 6.0 GTO would embarass that SRT4? I can't wait to find out.

6.0 GTO to an SRT4 isn't really a fair comparison. It's like comparing that same GTO to a Viper. Now, comparing it to the new Mustang and Charger, that's more realistic.

I agree. That could not have been SRT-4. It would have been very, very loud.
May have been a celica just based on the race itself.
