The airbag light is on because there is a problem with one of the sensors. Didn't you say your car was also damaged in an accident? If that's the case one of the sensors is buggered and you need to get it fixed. If you can't get it fixed right away pull the fuse so you don't have an unwanted airbag deployment.

Thanks Herc, it wasn't on,until they fixed the tranny, after installing it it got on.
The hit was about 100 km/hr, against a Trail Blazer that was drivinbg 105 km/hr, and the hood received all the damage, i thought the sensor didn't "feel" the hit because of this, is it possible something got disconeected while the tranny and the engine was manipulated??

Possibly. But remember if the hood got wrinkeled the front took some of the hit as well and the sensor was probably very sensitive and when they pulled the engine to swap the tranny they might have done something to it. Heck maybe they pulled the fuse to work on the front and forgot to put it back in smile

I wouldn't pick it up from the shop until they fix the light. And after that happens, check and make sure that they didn't just cut the wire.
