I serious hope you are right. I have to try that tomorrow morning but I did placed the two spoilers on ground at my apt. This new spoiler is little bit high than stock spoiler. That's explain why it is not working. I'm still waiting for spoiler company. If they say try bolt it like you say then I guess body shop is totally clueless.

just go and bolt it. dont sit around and wait for the company to tell u to do it. did you drill the holes already? because if the holes are already drilled then just go bolt it on by yourself.

No, they didn't drill it. I don't have one. They just place it and told me it is not fit. I believe them. It is same thing as stock aftermarket stock spoiler sit same gap and put bolts on so they looks same. I thought it was too high for new spoiler.

Are these the same people who said your hood didn't fit and it's on and painted.

have the put it on and tell them to actually bolt it on. your never going to know if it is going to fit unless you actually bolt it on. the bolts will help to pull the spoiler closer to the trunklid. trust us and go bolt it on!

Yes, they are same people but guess what? They totally forgot charge me for paint bumper, paint grille, paint plate cover. I get charge for paint F1 hood and blend fender only. I just like huh and guy look retard but I didn't say anything about that so I saved about $500 for missing charge. Trust me, I won't go back again. lol I have to go back to get fender inner that they broke it. I will install myself when they let me know about my new part arrived.

When they took it apart and the result is still same about hood touch the front bumper after they put it back. I'm not worry about that since I'm not only one have problem. I forgot who have same problem. He has red SD hood touch on bumper too. They gave me free hood spacer. It will lift the hood up little bit. That's from my dad's idea to ask body shop but body shop won't do that. They say it is against law for them do that. confused

Ok ok ok. I need find something to drill. I asked my dad (he has skill for that) but he is busy until Saturday. If it is actually work then I promise you I will never go that place again.

*edit* I got email from spoiler maker. They told me bolt it down that should fix the problem. Damn you 01 GT. how hell you know about that? jawdrop You don't have one and about sell your car soon.

i mean if you take off your old spoiler and sit the new one on yourself you should know how to bolt it down... it looks like it's too far forward to me

Look like I'm going take it to other body shop. I don't have drill. My dad don't have one anymore when he start retired.

They are in right place where I remove the old spoiler out. Trust me, it is right place to put on. Spoiler maker and some grand prix members say bolted on so it will go down little bit. I guess I have to wait and find any body shop in my local than lazy body shop.

just go to a hardware store and buy a drill and a drill bit that will fit the size for the stock holes. Dont waste your money at another bodyshop. They will rape you in charges when it comes to putting something as simple as a spoiler on a car. Just go buy a drill because in the long run it will pay for itself...lol youll be thankful you did. thumbsup

Well, I don't have skill for drill it. My dad told me if I get one and one tiny mistake then I'm f**ked. He think it should better let pro do that.

all you have to do is bolt the screws that line up and then with a marker make a little mark on the spoiler where it needs to be drilled then with a measuring tape measure the hole size on the trunk lid and then go find a drill bit to fit that size. Real simple. but if you dont want to do it yourself then have the shop do it but you could save alot of money by DIY

You don't need any kind of skill to use a drill. Since it seems you're a little bit unsure just take your time and be very careful, there's really nothing you can mess up though.

We just have little talk about this spoiler. We will try for DIY on Saturday. I think I need 1/18 drill right? Also, work on add spacer on hood bolts if it is working.

thats good that your going to DIY. as far as the size of the drill bit like i said you would have to measure the width of the hole on the trunk lid to find out exactly. It could very well be an 1/8" drill bit, but im not 100% sure. anyways good luck with it. Hope it turns out good for you!! cheers
