i don't know what's up with the spoiler... did you test fit it yourself? maybe they tightened at the wrong angles or something...

Spoiler probably needs to be slid around for a correct fit. I've heard of some guys elongating the holes in the deck lid. However, if you do the washer treatment to allow water flow under it, you'll get a bit of a gap anyway, but it'll prevent rust and other crud from forming.

Nice looking SE. Definitely the nicest on this site and CGP from what I've seen.

Thank you everyone wink

Actually, it is finally over for my "wish list". I already got everything for appearance look. This car have been changed lot. My car was full stock last winter.

List:
1. new wheels (probably I'm only one person with rare wheels on my grand prix)
2. silver center cap
3. silver lug nut cover
4. new locking lug nut
5. paint grille
6. paint fender (body shop told me smooth it with hood so I agree. I have pinstripe mark on left fender. It was accident by rental company car who use grand prix so it is perfect to get rid of it.)
7. paint front bumper (won case by woman who hit me)
8. remove pin stripe (myself)
9. remove grand prix on doors and trunk (myself)
10. 10% tint
11. new headlight with clear corner
12. clear taillights
13. paint front plate cover
14. F1 hood & paint it

error
15. spoiler unknown... if they won't help me then maybe SD wing or leave stock spoiler? What is kill me that they won't refund because it is paint. I mean it is not my fault that they are mess up.

Rook: They didn't install it. They test it and told me it is not fit. I went over there and do it myself for test everywhere. It is still same so it is 100% error spoiler.

Nah, I don't need gt/p rear bumper. I already have hitch under it so it won't fit when I take my bike to ride anywhere. It looks nice but I really like SE bumper. Almost every gt/p rear bumper have gray or black on bottom of rear. I have one single pipe so it will look weird if I don't have left pipe on it. Thank you for idea but I'm totally done everything but one spoiler left.

add daytime shot... I know bad spoiler is there but it is supposed my car look like this. I just placed it so I can take good shot. I took hard look all over this spoiler. It just need little bit more inches to low down where it meets trunk.

It is hard to believe this car used look like winter beater (on right side). I don't have to heard from my family/friends for which one you just buy again? lol

Palsut, sorry, those just are many's taste.
Anyways, check this thread out over at clubgp. Guy says paint match: A, quality: A, pre-drilled mounting holes: F
So there you go, you need to drill holes man.

no problem wink

Actually, I did post that too. I knew about hole is not fit but that's different story. Why my front gap is huge? No matter what I'm doing. It is still gap on it. I doubt that put bolt on would solve this. I emailed this guy who own this spoiler to post front spoiler shot for me. He will update soon as possible.

Well you have to think the bolts are going to compress it closes to the trunk, hopefully shrinking your gap. I think you have really inexperienced body shops up there! LOL

I serious hope you are right. I have to try that tomorrow morning but I did placed the two spoilers on ground at my apt. This new spoiler is little bit high than stock spoiler. That's explain why it is not working. I'm still waiting for spoiler company. If they say try bolt it like you say then I guess body shop is totally clueless.

just go and bolt it. dont sit around and wait for the company to tell u to do it. did you drill the holes already? because if the holes are already drilled then just go bolt it on by yourself.

No, they didn't drill it. I don't have one. They just place it and told me it is not fit. I believe them. It is same thing as stock aftermarket stock spoiler sit same gap and put bolts on so they looks same. I thought it was too high for new spoiler.

have the put it on and tell them to actually bolt it on. your never going to know if it is going to fit unless you actually bolt it on. the bolts will help to pull the spoiler closer to the trunklid. trust us and go bolt it on!

Yes, they are same people but guess what? They totally forgot charge me for paint bumper, paint grille, paint plate cover. I get charge for paint F1 hood and blend fender only. I just like huh and guy look retard but I didn't say anything about that so I saved about $500 for missing charge. Trust me, I won't go back again. lol I have to go back to get fender inner that they broke it. I will install myself when they let me know about my new part arrived.

When they took it apart and the result is still same about hood touch the front bumper after they put it back. I'm not worry about that since I'm not only one have problem. I forgot who have same problem. He has red SD hood touch on bumper too. They gave me free hood spacer. It will lift the hood up little bit. That's from my dad's idea to ask body shop but body shop won't do that. They say it is against law for them do that. confused

Ok ok ok. I need find something to drill. I asked my dad (he has skill for that) but he is busy until Saturday. If it is actually work then I promise you I will never go that place again.

*edit* I got email from spoiler maker. They told me bolt it down that should fix the problem. Damn you 01 GT. how hell you know about that? jawdrop You don't have one and about sell your car soon.

But that just might also be from the camera lense make it seem that big. Anyways i hope it turns out good for you. Let us know what the out come is because i just might change my mind(havent decided yet). thumbsup

Look like I'm going take it to other body shop. I don't have drill. My dad don't have one anymore when he start retired.

They are in right place where I remove the old spoiler out. Trust me, it is right place to put on. Spoiler maker and some grand prix members say bolted on so it will go down little bit. I guess I have to wait and find any body shop in my local than lazy body shop.

just go to a hardware store and buy a drill and a drill bit that will fit the size for the stock holes. Dont waste your money at another bodyshop. They will rape you in charges when it comes to putting something as simple as a spoiler on a car. Just go buy a drill because in the long run it will pay for itself...lol youll be thankful you did. thumbsup

Well, I don't have skill for drill it. My dad told me if I get one and one tiny mistake then I'm f**ked. He think it should better let pro do that.

all you have to do is bolt the screws that line up and then with a marker make a little mark on the spoiler where it needs to be drilled then with a measuring tape measure the hole size on the trunk lid and then go find a drill bit to fit that size. Real simple. but if you dont want to do it yourself then have the shop do it but you could save alot of money by DIY

You don't need any kind of skill to use a drill. Since it seems you're a little bit unsure just take your time and be very careful, there's really nothing you can mess up though.

We just have little talk about this spoiler. We will try for DIY on Saturday. I think I need 1/18 drill right? Also, work on add spacer on hood bolts if it is working.

thats good that your going to DIY. as far as the size of the drill bit like i said you would have to measure the width of the hole on the trunk lid to find out exactly. It could very well be an 1/8" drill bit, but im not 100% sure. anyways good luck with it. Hope it turns out good for you!! cheers

Take a look at everything topic "damn old man! (parking accident)"

Geez what a long day....

I think it looks fine. This car is not 4x4 lol

This spoiler is FAILED. It is still same gap when it was bolted on. mad

I'm thinking to get SD wing or something else to find grand prix spoiler on website. I have my car coming soon on Pontiac show at June 22nd. I thought I have everything perfect on plan but spoiler screw me up. I will return it back but I know the paint they won't refund it which it is suck. Maybe I sell it knockoff spoiler and tell lucky silver grand prix it is fit but I decide get SD wing because they are huge than knockoff spoiler. lol
