If you changed coil pack, maf, plugs, and wires. I would start on fuel, check your fuel pump resitor. Go to Herc mans website and do the temp fix and see if the cars stays running. Welcome to the board.

Yep sounds like the resistor to me.

As for anyone else who has yet to have a resistor fail I would recommend printing off a copy of the temp fix and keep it in your glove box.

I had mine fail luckily I was only 100 yards from my house. I knew what the problem was but for life of me I forgot which pins to bend.

So keep it in the glove box this way you'll have it. Hopefully you'll never need it.

Speaking of which I've been driving with the temp fix for along time now. I have the new part maybe I'll put it in today.

Perhaps that could be my idle problem. I forgot about that possibility... worth a try at least!

Dummer there are no fuel resitors in our 97 GTs there are only in the GTPs. As for a nice fix for the fuel pump resitor get the hot wire kit from casper it bypasses the resitor so you can accually get rid of it.
