ok it rained all night pretty hard and i woke up this morning and saw on my passenger side floor board there was standing water nothing else was wet justthe carpet i checked the door seals and they are good. no water came from the sunroof and nothing else was wet underneath the sun roof. any suggestions guys?

+1 on the seal under the cowl. Mine was off when I bought my car. I used 3M silicone to hold it back on and added a Cabin Air filter. Just look one up for a 04 Monte Carlo.

It's the cowl seal, happens to these cars all the time.

cowl seal? is that the weather strip between the wiper shelf and the hood?

It's under the plastic cowl. Passenger side. It's the air intake for the HVAC.

It's not the heater core it's not the AC overflowing.
