Hey guys. Well since i bought the GTP a couple months ago i've ran into my first issue. I am getting a strange shake in the front driver side wheel. It is hard to explain but at cruising speeds 60-70 there will be a second of smoothness, then a second of a shake then back to smoothness etc. So i took it to the shop and sure enough the problem went away while they were test driving it. They said they drove it for 30 minutes and nothing it was smooth. Sure enough i get in it take it home tonight and the problem starts up again. While it was in the shop they did check the wheel bearing and tie rod ends and said they were fine. They said the tie rod end had a very small amount of play but not enough to cause the shake i was talking about. Anyways, Anybody ever encountered this??

Get the tires balanced? You might be able to have Wal-Mart throw em on a balancer for free, just to see if they are off-balance or not.

My car does something similar. While cruising on the Interstate for long travels, I notice that there's a harmonic vibration. It starts down in my feet and kind of rotates upward till it gets to my head, then it rotates towards the front of the car, and then back to my feet and starts over.

The whole things takes about 4-8 seconds (can't remember) and does it very consistantly. I figure it's my tires as well but it may very well be that I need a more accurate harmonix balancer, maybe even the crank has gone off balance.

Sounds like a tire balance issue.

When the bearings go out it's more of an annoying moaning noise then a feel.

Old struts can accentuate a slight imbalance.

Did you rotate the tires to see if the vibration changed?
