An older guy in his sixties, down the road from me, has an 03 Cobra that he bought when the first ones came out. I've tried to get him to race me but no luck. He hardly drives it and leaves it parked in his yard all year. I hurts to look at it just sit there covered in snow and dirt and rain and more snow and then more rain, etc...

I'll race anything anytime. I may get my butt handed to me but gotta hammer down now that its spring.

don`t try the same stunt on a 04 Cobra if you don`t wanna get creamed, never the less nice job on the 03 snake.

As a fellow NYer I'm offended about the "OLD GUY" stuff. We have some pretty nice rides hid away for sun shiny days. Living in NY allows us only limited time for rompin and stomping! At this age its about all we have left. While I cann't touch my 70 yr old buddies vette with the GTP, the first 1/8th mile is always mine with the Typhoon!

I just had a mid 90 civic try and race me. He had his hood off and i dont know what he did with the exhaust cause it was louder than most. He kept riding next to me and kept revving his lawnmower. We were at about 40 when I gave it enough gas to down shift at the same time he gunned it. I flew right by with the peddle about half way down and just got in front of him to let him know. What is it with these ricers. I want to find a sticker that says this sticker gives me 20 more HP!

If you find one let me know I want one too.

Didn't mean to offend. But I said "older" not old. To be honest, I'm offended everytime I drive past the Cobra guy's house and see that little beauty parked out on the dirt mound in front of his house. I told him I was gonna call child welfare if he didn't start taking care of his baby.

I'm with Hercman, I'll race anyone anytime. Half the time I know I'm gonna lose, sometimes I feel I have a shot. I just like getting the other guy going to a point where he'll just gun it and I'll get to see him fly by. I like knowing that I have a somewhat fast car, and seeing how fast other cars are.

Tell me if I'm wrong...but the '03 and '04 Cobra's have the exact same engine in it? Including the supercharger? In any matter, I'm not sure that it wasn't an 04. I just know that he said it was supercharged...

They started putting the S/C in the Cobra in '03.

if it would have been supercharged you wouldn`t have had a chance in hell.

It WAS supercharged and I kept up with it from 25-55 mph, then he started to pull on me, like I said...

just saw a 03 Z06 with 14k going for 35k.... is probably the only time I wish I was single....

Our cars are torque monsters especially down low. He shouldnt have any problem keeping up till about 60mph
