I have a 2001 grand prix se and always have wanted the gt side skirts. About a month ago my buddy was going to give his gt to the junk yard so i thought it was a perfect opertunity to grab the Side Skirts. Took about an hour or so to pull them off his car. They had some tar that was stuck on them pretty well and had scratches so i brought them over to a body shop near me and had them sand them and pant them a fresh black turned out great! They 3m taped the smalller parts and they tethered the lower side skirt.

QUESTION THO... they said i couldnt use wax on my car and couldnt use tire shine for 60 DAYs!! it will eat away the new paint is this true?

here are some new pics tell me what you think

I'd trust them with the wax and tire shine. Now you just need to get the GT/P rear bumper because the side is lower than the rear. Looks good though.

Yep you have to let the paint fully cure. If you wax it you'll ruin the paint.

So they just tape everything instead use rail support?

It does look nice. My side skirt and door moldings are collecting dust in garage now. lol

It will be next year project but you beat me for this. wink

nope they used the rail supports for the side skirts and 3m tape for the 4 smaller door parts. took them 2 days to give them a fresh paint job and put them on. Looks really good couldnt even thell they werent suppose to be on the car. All i need now it the rear bumper

No metal rail on doors? How it can hold "bottom" side? That's what rail is about to hold bottom of door molding mostly for GT/P.
