BTW, a half a bottle of octane booster should clear that 87 octane problem right up...

Wrong... if you read carefully you will find that those products raise the octane by about 1 point per bottle.

Give it a shot... just make sure you read the fine print. People think they instantly have 104 octane and they really have 93 after a whole bottle of it. For $7-10 apiece you might as well just go fill up a portable tank with premium and go from there. With that, at least you'd have 89-90 octane.
