Tape off all of them. Done well too I'm picky at how it's done. I re-did the VSS wire connection to be sure its working. Where should I look for the fuse for the instrument panel if thats what could be the culprit.

For a quick test I would undo the splice and just reconnect just the main wire and see how it is. That should eliminate if its a fuse or a bad splice.

I tried that already and it's no good. I also unplugged check wire connectors on the back of the instr panel to see if anything came loose and it's good. Still not working though. Where is the fuse for the instr panel ?

It was the fuse. I really gotta learn to do shit right the first time and just leave the battery unconnected the ENTIRE god damn time.
