well the race was down hill with the driver of the van weighing close to 350 pounds. me and my buddy combined dont weight that. so maybe the fatass driver and the weight of the van down hill gave him the advantage. again im still shocked and confused, but its not my car, and if it was i would immediately sell it and get a car that can win at a race with a minivan.

but does it really matter if its a 2dr or a 4dr. in my mind i would rather have a 4dr even if it is a bit heavyer but i would rather have a 4 door anyday over a 2 door

Hey, you take what you can get... 2 dr's are great, but 4 dr's are acceptable!

i like to claim that my car has the largest doors ever on a production car...
comparable to some exotic sports car claiming to be the fastest production car on the road.

Racing down hill is not a race in my opinion but a test of gravity.Chico.

I raced a GTP last night and unfortunately I lost to him... it was close though. He only had a CAI, and I hung with him thru first gear and part of second, but in the upper RPM's of second gear he started pulling on me pretty good. By about 85mph when we backed off he had 2 or so car lengths on me. Darn those superchargers! It was pretty good race though. My car is just a GT powertrain as you guys all know, but the guy I raced thought I had just a stock GTP (my car is debadged). He was surprised when I told him "no supercharger" :p Once I get my cam in... we'll run again and see who surprises who though!

Yes, 4.3 in an Astro, same as the S10/Blazer. Any idea how much they weigh?

Wait what? I have a buddy with a stock 4.3 S10 and I can walk him decently in my stock GT. How can a 4.3 Astro take a GTP? I'm not making this up either. I have no reason to lie.

Only thing I can think of is off the line, with some of the rarer AWD Astro vans. They have the same drivetrain that was stuffed in the Typhoon and Cyclones, so they can launch like a mofo.

I thought the 329s helped the GT, because people that do top end swaps run faster than stock GTP's. Help a newb out!
