I need to reattach my '98 GT's rearview mirror, and I was wondering if someone would take a couple of measurements for me so I know exactly where to put the metal button. I had this marked, but another family member accidently wiped my markings off when they cleaned the inside of the windshield recently.

I'm interested in the distance from the top of the windshield to to top of where the metal button should be, and appx centerline...meaning, since I assume the mirror is installed along the windshield centerline, what's the distance from one side of the windshield to the appx center of the button.

Thanks in advance.

Wish I could help you, but I moved mine over to the right to make room for my radar detector.

Thanks for thoughts guys....good idea about going to the dealership...I'm on pretty good terms with one of the parts guys at a local chevy dealer, maybe he can help me out...also, just in case I don't get to that, Justin, if you do happen to get the measurements, I'll owe you one.....

I'm new to this site but I do work at a GM dealership in Manitoba and I know that an 02' GTP can sit on 22's without any modifications. Your factory rims and tires measure out to just over 25' that still gives you 2 inches of rubber with a 1' lip. Your tires will cost 3 times more than the rims itself but fuck does it look good.

Justin, did you ever get a chance to measure the location of the rear view mirror ? I haven't had a chance to get to a local dealer to see if I can check it out on another car.

Thanks in advance.
